Isaac started freelancing for magazines at 15 years of age. Through the agency that he co-founded, Mercury Press International, his photos and articles have been in over 300 print magazines around the world. The book Difference Makers: Portraits of Leaders in the Arts, Social Justice and Sustainability captures a retrospective of his portrait work. He continues to create portraits, and loves to capture events and the occasional wedding.
Isaac has photographed celebrities, writers and social and environmental leaders, such as Amy Tan, Isabel Allende, Gore Vidal, Gay Talese, Richard Bach, Antonio Banderas, Wavy Gravy, and many more.

Besides being an accomplished filmmaker, Isaac photographs for nonprofits such as UCSB Arts & Lectures, Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics, Child Abuse and Mediation, Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Community Arts and Music Association, Ganna Walska Lotusland, United Way of Santa Barbara County, Women's Fund,, United Boys & Girls Clubs, Mental Wellness Center, Direct Relief, Gaviota Coast Conservancy, and many more. His event photographs often adorned the pages of the UCSB Arts & Lectures programs, Santa Barbara Magazine, Montecito Journal and the Santa Barbara Independent, among other influential publications, as well as annual reports.
